I found a bride of winter. Hair as white as snow, glowing like the moon, with a smile that could brighten even the darkest of nights
I found a bride of spring. Dawn shining in her hair, smelling like the flowers she adores, with a smile that could put those smiles to shame
I found a bride of summer. Hair as golden as the sun, smelling like the sea, with a smile even wickeder than the waves she adores
I found a bride of autumn. Hair as wild as the forests she wanders, crisp as the leaves that fall from the trees, with a smile wilder than the fires that burn around her
I found a bride who is everything I could ever want and more, yet I lost her all the same
You look at her and see just a girl. Nothing magical, just ordinary. So you shun her. You throw her aside like she’s nothing. You toss her in the woods. Leave her to the wolves, to be torn apart, just because you think her ordinary.
But you see, that was your mistake darling. You thought her fragile and docile but you were wrong. For she is a wolf. Ferocious and mighty. And she will fight and claw and howl at the moon. You saw the pup, but not the beast underneath. You weren’t expecting that when you threw her to the wolves, she’d come back leading the pack.
Hello all, I hope you are all doing well today. I am currently laying in bed feeling all sick and gross, but I figured this will probably be the only time I have to write this, so here we are.
Anyway, this has been a hell of a month for me… with high school coming to a close (and all the busy work that comes along with that), work being short staffed causing me to have to work extra hours, and to top it all off, I got super sick a couple of days before my finals started. But alas; I am pushing on, and despite lacking any motivation whatsoever, I am going to tell you how my first challenge went. If you are just finding this blog now, you probably have no idea what I’m talking about, but never fear friends, I will post a link here so you can check out my original blog post explaining my plan to shrink my TBR pile.
But anywho, on to the actual review… Continue reading “Challenge #1 Review (Spoiler Free) and Choosing Challenge #2”
Hello there everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I’m currently sitting in a cafe, listening to Miley Cyrus’ new song, and enjoying the first real downtime I’ve had in what feels like forever. And while the weather outside might be dreary, I’m here to talk about a subject that seems to be on everyone’s minds at the moment; summer! Though summer is my least favorite season temperature wise (I’m secretly a vampire and loath the sun), I do like it for all the downtime it allows me to read and get caught up on all the tv shows I’ve fallen behind on. Speaking of tv shows, that’s what I’m here to talk about today.

Hello gang. Hope you all have been well. These past few weeks have been pretty hectic for me; I had my senior prom, registered for college classes, worked on multiple essays and projects that are all due within the next couple of works, had a couple of nervous breakdowns, and finished A Court of Wings and Ruin. You know, the usual.
Speaking of A Court of Wings and Ruin, that is precisely why I’m here. I have a lot of feelings about this book, ranging from excited to confused to annoyed to uncomfortable. The book had it’s high; such as more diversity both race wise and LGBTQ storylines, and lows; such as it was the most boring book in the series. Don’t get me wrong, the book definitely picked up the last couple hundred pages and had me feeling all the feels, but it took a really long time for it to get to the heart racing pace that I usually find in Sarah J. Maas books.
Now that I’ve described my overall thoughts and feelings, let’s get on to specifics… Continue reading “A Court of Wings and Ruin- Spoiler Review”
